Discoverers - our 3 and 4 year olds

Discoverers, our Pre-School Room is a vibrant and nurturing environment where children aged 3 to 4 years are supported to grow in confidence, independence, and curiosity as they prepare for their transition to school. We provide high-quality early education and care guided by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, ensuring every child develops across all seven areas of learning.

At this stage, children are eager to explore, question, and create. Our experienced practitioners design engaging, play-based activities that promote communication and language, literacy, mathematics, and personal, social and emotional development. Simple phonics activities, name recognition, and growing concentration skills are developed through a wide range of creative and purposeful learning experiences.

Children learn about the world around them through daily group discussions, the introduction of simple words and phrases in different languages, and visits to local community businesses and groups, helping them build understanding, confidence, and respect for others.

Our well-resourced environment encourages both independent exploration and focused learning. Every child has a dedicated key person who supports their individual progress and celebrates their achievements. In our Pre-School Room, children develop a lifelong love of learning, ready to take their next steps into school with confidence and enthusiasm.
